PREGNANT WOMEN ARE YOU GETTING THE SWINE FLU SHOT WHEN IT COMES OUT?

I’m formulation upon removing both a anniversary influenza vaccine as well as a hog influenza vaccine.

Ah a so scary, though do we consider i’m improved off removing a vaccine?

No, I would not get the vaccination.
I would wait until after having the baby, wouldn’t take any risks.
Of course, not getting the vaccination is a risk, but if I get the flu, I get it.
Personal opinion of course.
It won’t be available in my area for two weeks. I am pregnant and due in January. My OB’s words were “you can get the shot, or you can die, whichever you prefer.” I had the influenza A virus while pregnant with my first child, and she and I came through it just fine. However, my OB’s words really scared me. I was adamant about not getting the H1N1 vaccine, but now I’m not so sure. I really don’t want to be a guinea pig for a new vaccine, but I don’t want to risk my health either. I really wish that there was some more research out there to help me in my decision.
I’m not pregnant, but I would get it if I were. Trying to go through labor with the flu would be a nightmare, and yes, more pregnant women have died of Swine Flu already than die with the normal flu.
My daughter got Swine Flu before I could get her the vaccine. Right now the strain isn’t terrible in healthy people, and she recovered fairly quickly, but her temp did go up to 104.1.
I don’t even like taking tylenol when I’m pregnant.
I won’t be taking the vaccine while pregnant.
The bottom line…is it is still just a flu.
ANY flu can kill you if it goes unattended.
Keep clean, take your vitamins, try to stay healthy and you’ll be fine.
I have at least one friend here on yahoo who’s also pregnant and she caught it…and so did her other children…and they’re all fine and well.
It’s a flu…it’s a badasss flu…but it’s still just a flu.
im pregnant and im probably getting it. i have to talk to my gyno first thought to see what he recommends. But i did read that its better to wait for the vaccine than to take the nasal spray. Too bad we are vulnerable to both, But the swine flu seems to kill younger people and the regular flu seems to attack children and the elderly.With something deadly id rather get vaccinated.
as long as you dont get the nasal one its perfectly safe. if not and you do contract either or you will have alot of complications, theres no risks or side affects of the swine flue vaccine, its just hype people beilieve and blow up and make it worse. if it was bad drs would tell you dont do it and wouldnt reccomend it. but the swine flu vaccine wont be out for awhile. the nasal ones out now but is very unsafe since its the virus they give to non pregnant people.
ABSOLUTELY… the VERY BEST thing you could do for yourself AND your baby is to get vaccinations for both swine flu and regular flu… as these vaccination not only vaccinate YOU… but your baby as well!! Probably a very safe and IMPORTANT decision.

i got the reg flu shot yesterday. I was debating on the swine flu one until the midwife told me she highly recommends it. I’m scared about it but i think i would rather not be in that situation where you wished you would have gotten it…so i think i will get it.
I actually just got over the swine flu right before I got pregnant, but honestly I personally wouldn’t get the vaccine. I’d say ask your doctor before you make any decisions.
I had the regular flu shot and I’m fine. As far as the swine flu shot goes I am a little scared myself.
i got the regular flu vaccine. ill probably get any other vaccine that comes.
I am not going to get it, but I dont get the flu shots as I have an extreme allergic reaction to them : But I would take into consideration how likely it is that you would get it, if you work in a field where you are in constant contact with people or things all these people are touching (retail, customer service) it is a good idea to get it I think, but if you are a SAHW and arent really in crowded areas too often, it might not be worth the risks to me. Even if I was not allergic to the shots, I still wouldnt, simply because my husband is the one person I come into contact with, and its not hard to make him wash his hands and be careful so he doesnt bring it home to me. Plus, I can wash my hands and take care of myself… I just dont think its that hard to protect yourself.
